Data Gathering - Pre-Site Visit

In preparation for the MINT site visit, QR Specialist, Jon Haradon, drafted a document profiling the current Math/QR/Numeracy program at Mapleton Early College (MEC). This synopsis provided a grade level breakdown of current efforts/implementation, progress made, challenges, and future goals. This document was then shared and discussed with MINT participants during one of the three pre-visit planning calls.

In addition to the QR document prepared by Jon Haradon, MEC staff devoted several hours of professional development time to record self-identified evidence of the 7 AHSI Numeracy Guiding Principles using the MINT Data Gathering Tool. Jon reported that the time spent grappling with personal interpretations of these principles led to some very rich and meaningful discussion among staff. This document was also shared and discussed with MINT participants prior to the site visit.
