Participants from 6 AHSI intermediary organizations comprised the team of twelve (12) MINT members. Organizations represented were: Big Picture Learning, Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO), Communities in Schools of Georgia, Gateway to College, Diploma Plus, and the StreetSchool Network. Most MINT participants had never met in person before, with limited conference calls being the only chance for verbal exchange. Participants’ background and experience with Math/QR were varied with some having extensive training and experience and others very little.

This unique mix allowed for a variety of interpretations of numeracy evidence and opportunities identified in the school and classrooms. These varied interpretations contributed to some very rich and meaningful discussions.
